1/5 - HAPPY NEW YEAR! We hope you all had a wonderful break and are ready to put this show on the road (or at least finally on the stage!!!) Please begin checking the website daily again as there will be many updates from now on. Here's the first one:
EVERYONE in the cast and all STAGE MANAGERS, SOUND, LIGHTING AND PROPS TECHIES need to attend all rehearsals from now on. The Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning rehearsals will begin at 7:30 AM sharp and unless the update says otherwise, please plan on being there on time.
Cast members need to be OFF BOOK, with all lines, songs and dances memorized! Review ahead of time as we will be running the show from begining to end starting on Wednesday.
PLEASE BRING YOUR SCRIPTS to all rehearsals as we may need to make changes and you can then review or run lines while you're not onstage.
Since so many of you are featured in this play, it is by far the most challenging to microphone. Almost all Featured Vocalists, Lead and Supporting Roles will need to change microphones during the show. No one notices when the sound is good, but everyone notices if you can't hear someone or if the audience hears someone speaking backstage because the person that was supposed to be wearing their microphone number onstage forgot to get it! We will therefore begin on Wednesday to prepare for the microphone changes by using numbered necklaces to represent the microphones. All FEATURED VOCALISTS, LEAD AND SUPPORTING ROLES should go to the Sound tab above and print out their individual microphone plan. All STAGE MANAGERS AND SOUND TECHIES should print out the Sound Plan. We may have to make changes in blocking or microphones based on how this plan works so again, bring your scripts!
